The 4-Program HD-SDI Digital Encoder from Blonder Tongue will encode up to four HD-SDI video sources along with audio in MPEG-2 HD format for multiplexed delivery over four QAM, four IP, or four ASI outputs. It features four HD-SDI inputs as well as separate digital and analog audio and video EAS (Emergency Alert System) inputs. There are four adjacent QAM outputs and an additional RF port for testing as well as an HD-SDI output for monitoring.

The encoder can output four combined channels over QAM at 40 dBmV level. It supports custom bit-rate settings for each IP stream as well as supporting closed captioning and Dolby Digital audio encoding. It can multiplex 1:1 and 2:1 programs per QAM channel, and using the web management interface you can individually enable and disable each of the channels. It features one Gigabit Ethernet output for IP delivery and one 10/100 Ethernet input for management.
