A Vixen-style dovetail saddle accepts most optical tube assemblies (OTAs) up to 15 pounds (including accessories) such as small refractors, Maksutov-Cassegrains, and others like solar scopes. Its single fork-arm design reduces weight and simplifies the OTA mounting system, and slow-motion control knobs on each axis provide an easy way to move the mount with limited vibrations for clearer views. The arm angle can be adjusted to allow more clearance from the base of the mount, so your OTA will move freely without interference. Supporting the mount head is a stainless steel tripod with sturdy 1.75" diameter legs and an adjustable height from 42 to 55" that accommodates a wide variety of users and observation positions. It comes with a tray that stabilizes the tripod while offering a convenient place for accessories such as eyepieces, filters, and smartphones.
