The Meade Universal AC Adapter is used to power your telescope from AC household power outlets. A 4.9' cord is permanently attached to the transformer and ends in a 5.5mm male plug. This adapter comes with a separate cord with a 2-prong North American plug to power the transformer from household AC outlets. The adapter provides 5-amp, 12-volt DC output, which is enough to operate most telescopes even when using powered accessories.
