Made from flexible ABS plastic with a hook-and-loop closure for fast and easy installation and removal, the shield's interior surface is lined with black felt to absorb unwanted light reflections and prevent moisture from condensing into and sliding toward the plate. The shield is notched to provide the clearance required to accommodate a Vixen-style dovetail plate.
