The two eyepieces produce medium and high magnifications in most telescopes, and the Barlow lens doubles the magnification of any eyepiece used with it - essentially doubling your inventory of eyepieces. Two of the most popular colored planetary filters, Red and Blue, can be used to enhance and highlight specific areas on Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn, as well as comets.
