Designed to give you more magnification and use options than a typical Barlow, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 2.25x/1.3x Classic Q-Barlow will be a versatile and valuable addition to your planetary observation kit.

When used as a conventional Barlow, it increases the magnification of any 1.25" barrel eyepiece by a factor of 2.25x by simply dropping the eyepiece into the Barlow's holder. The front lens cell can be unscrewed from the main body and threaded onto the filter threads of an eyepiece to increase its magnification by just 1.3x. When used with the companion Baader Q-Turret eyepiece turret, the cell can be installed on the single lower barrel to increase the magnification of all four eyepieces by 2.25x. High transmission multi-coatings on the lens surfaces maximize light transmission through the lens system.
