The 10x Steinheil System Magnifier from Peak is a pocket-able, self-contained folding magnifier designed for close inspection of microscopic specimens. The lens is constructed of a three element design which utilizes a biconvex lens made of crown glass paired with two negative meniscus lenses constructed of flint glass. The lens construction provides a reasonably wide field of view and a 10x magnification.

The cemented lens is mounted within a body frame made of black plastic which features a folding design to protect the lenses from scratches or debris. The bottom of the frame also forms a wide handle for convenient gripping of the loupe.
