A strong, concentrated developer, this 1L bottle of SE20C Catechol Paper Developer from Moersch Photochemie is slow-working and can be used as either a single-bath developer or as a first developer in a two-bath process. Its makeup incorporates a high degree of restrainer and low amount of accelerator (phenidone), which produces greater density and approximately one grade higher contrast than typical developers. This increase in contrast and slow-working speed affords a great deal of control during processing, in either single or two-bath configurations. Additionally, SE20C also imparts a slight warm tone to prints, depending on paper type, however can be used in conjunction with Finisher Blue to retain a neutral to cooler print tone.
