Fomatol P (W14)

  • Description
The Foma Fomatol P (W14) is a two-component, one-bath, universal black and white paper developer in powder form. It is designed for manual processing of all types of black-and-white photographic papers. Fomatol P has a neutral tone and contains phenidone-hydroquinone. One pack of developer will process up to 40.4 sq ft / 3.75 sq m (70 8.0 x 10" / 20.3 x 25.4 cm sheets) of baryta fiber-base paper and 80.7 sq ft / 7.5 sq m (140 8.0 x 10" / 20.3 x 25.4 cm sheets) of resin-coated paper. The contents supplied in this package will make 0.66 gallons (2.5 liters) of developer.

Dissolve the contents of the larger and then the smaller bag in 0.5 gallons (2 liters) of warm water at 104° F (40° C) and add water until the total volume is 0.66 gallons (2.5 liters). The developing time at 68° F (20° C) is 90 - 120 sec (1.5 - 2.0 min) for fiber-base paper, 60 - 90 sec (1.0 - 1.5 min) for resin-coated paper and 60 - 180 sec (1.0 - 3.0 min) for warmtone RC and fiber paper. This product yields results similar to those produced by the Kodak Dektol developer.
