The BG-S8 Battery Grip from Vello is designed specifically to enhance the performance of the Sony Alpha a6600 camera. The grip holds one or two NP-FZ100 batteries, which effectively doubles the camera runtime when both batteries are installed, especially useful when shooting video. The grip provides power to the camera by using an included, dedicated battery pack adapter.

The BG-S8 grip is designed to provide a comfortable way to hold and shoot with the camera in the portrait orientation. It incorporates a secondary shutter-release button for shooting in portrait orientation, which operates through the use of an included Multi-Terminal cable. It also incorporates an on/off switch that turns off both the battery grip and camera for simplified operation.

Designed with an anti-slip rubber grip for secure, comfortable handling, this battery grip has a 1/4"-20 mounting tip that screws into the camera's tripod mount, and has another tripod mount on its bottom for attaching to a camera support. An integrated hand-strap mount allows a camera strap or hand strap to be mounted for convenient carrying.
