BRESSER Science IVM 401 Microscope (White)

  • Description
Employ the power of phase contrast microscopy using Bresser's Science IVM 401 Microscope. This fine and highly specialized instrument incorporates a phase contrast unit to allow you to reveal fine structure and detail of live transparent samples that are difficult to capture via conventional methods. Its inverted illumination configuration and long working distances of the objectives permit placing entire petri dishes into the tray of the precision stage for making observations. For phase contrast studies, this scope has a DIN 25x phase contrast (plan achromatic) objective and can be used with other optional phase contrast objectives of different powers. Also included are three plan achromatic objectives: 10x, 40x, and 25x. To ensure good visibility and image brightness, its illuminator features a 30W halogen lamp with adjustable brightness, a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser, an iris diaphragm, and a filter holder.

Another important aspect is a wide precision mechanical stage that can accommodate 2.6" (65mm) petri dishes and has a 4.4 x 3.1" range of motion in the horizontal plane. The focusing system highlights coarse and fine controls with 2µm minimum increments, a tension ring, and a stop knob. In order to take photos or videos of your discoveries, you will need to connect a camera to a third optical tube and switch from a viewing mode to a photo mode.
