Their 8x magnification allows for comfortable viewing of distant objects with a reduced risk of disorientating hand-shake common with higher-power binoculars, while their short 5.9' close-focus distance enables exceptionally detailed observation of birds, bugs, and insects at feeders or bushes. Complementing the optical performance is a long eye relief, and wide exit pupil that will cover the eye even when fully dilated in low-light conditions.
