Konus' green 10x42 KonusRex Binoculars feature phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to produce a versatile and capable optic with bright and clear high-contrast images with true color rendition across its field of view. To help offset visible hand-shake often associated with 10x power and higher optics, Kouns built these binoculars with a wide 61° apparent angle of view to limit disorientation and improve the observational experience. This combination of optics, objectives, and wide angle viewing make the KonusRex binoculars ideally suited for most outdoor activities from hunting, to birding, to boating, and sporting events.

Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make the binoculars durable and comfortable to use. They have an open-bridge design which allows the hand to wrap completely around the optical tubes while reducing weight and bulk. A lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis further cuts weight, and are protected by green rubberized armor that is textured to give them a nonslip grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof, especially in extreme weather conditions. A right-eye diopter adjustment allows the binoculars to be customized to most people's needs, and a tripod adapter mount on the front hinge allows them to be put on a stable support system for long observation sessions.
